From start to finish, we are here to help get the job done
From troubleshooting and plant start-ups to an extra set of eyes, Process Engineering Partners can provide experienced people and solutions to complete a wide range of projects
We believe everyone has something useful to add to every project and sometimes all that is needed to find a great solution to a lingering problem is a fresh set of eyes. Let PEP be this for you.
Simple, to leave every site in better conditions than we found it.
Methanol was found in the NGL inlet stream to a fractionation unit that needed to be removed to meet downstream specs. The amine systems was examined and process controls were modified, without any necessary physical additions, to remove the methanol in the stripped acid gas stream without any adverse effects to the primary systems operation.
A natural gas processing plant with a mechanical refrigeration unit and splitter columns was having issues with freeze up. The process was evaluated and it was found that the dehydration system was not capable of reaching full regeneration. A new type of molecular sieve was recommended that could be regenerated, given the plants hot oil temperature and flow limitations, which resolved the moisture issue.
Our team has evaluated dozens of isolated flares burning rich gas as a result of no off-takes. The gas streams were analyzed and a process was developed to extract an NGL stream that could be trucked from site, most systems were cashflow enhancements and all were carbon footprint reductions.
An existing compressor station was redesigned to handle the chance in gas throughput. Line sizes and compression equipment were evaluated, then the best cost effective and efficient plan was implemented.
Upgraded the liquid dump controls associated with the acid gas injection compressors. The exiting controls caused the compressors to trip on false level, thus putting excess ware on the vital compression equipment and flaring.

building, operating, and troubleshooting a wide array of oil and gas systems. Prior to founding PEP, Zack was a part of the Canyon Midstream team who built a grass roots gathering and processing system in Oklahoma’s Scoop/Stack basin capable of processing over 200 MMSCFD of gas. During his time with Energy Transfer and Canyon Midstream, Zack constructed, commissioned, and operated NGL fractionators, cryogenic gas plants, export facilities, and many types of field units. His experience managing operators, construction personnel, and other engineers has equipped him well to lead PEP to success. Zack earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara and is currently registered as a PE in Texas.
